Joe Cole shares Manchester United top four prediction after Tottenham transfer business

Joe Cole says Manchester United are in the driving seat to edge out Arsenal and Tottenham in claiming fourth spot in the Premier League this season.

A last-gasp victory over West Ham in their most-recent fixture before the international break means United resume their quest for Champions League qualification heading up that mini group.

Manchester City are someway clear at the summit and, barring an almighty collapse, appear set to be joined in that marquee European competition by Liverpool and Chelsea.

That leaves one berth up for grabs with United, Arsenal, Tottenham and the Hammers all in contention.

Surprise package Wolves are only four points behind United, too, and must be factored into this intense race.

Tottenham were the big movers late on during the January window as they rubber-stamped swoops for Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski from Italian giants Juventus - while Dele Alli ended seven years in north London by signing for Everton.

According to Cole, though, those deals will come as no advantage to Antonio Conte and his men.

Speaking to bookmakers Coral, pundit Cole said: "Spurs brought in a couple of players who were struggling to get into what I consider a poor, for their standards, Juventus team.

"I have watched them a few times this year and covered two live games and they're not the Juventus of even two years ago.
