Jim Goodwin in Aberdeen transfer 'contingency' pledge with Lewis Ferguson and Calvin Ramsay in demand

Jim Goodwin insists he will have replacements lined up should any clubs come in to land any of Aberdeen ’s top stars this summer.

The likes of Lewis Ferguson and Calvin Ramsay have been watched by a number of interested parties in recent weeks.

The manager is adamant that none of their main players will be sold unless the Dons’ asking price is met and if it is then he will have contingency plans in place to strengthen his squad.

Goodwin said: “There are a lot of clubs out there that are looking at those two players in particular.

“Good players will always have teams interested in them.

“That is just part and parcel of the game we are in.

“Obviously every player has a valuation and if that valuation is met and it works out well for both parties then we will consider it.

“However, if offers that are made are not satisfactory then the player will be going nowhere.

“We will have contingency plans in place and will be prepared for whatever happens.

“We will make sure we will have ideal replacements if we do lose any players from the squad.”
