Jeff Stelling annihilates insulting Celtic theory live on air - 'Don't make me laugh!'

Jeff Stelling was told Celtic have had it 'easy' so far in the Champions League – but he was having none of it as he took that theory apart live on air.

The Hoops face Bayern Munich tonight in their play-off round second leg having advanced to the knockout stage for the first time in more than a decade. In the league phase the Hoops showed up well, taking 12 points from eight games to qualify with a game to spare. And while they were obliterated 7-1 by Borussia Dortmund, they beat RB Leipzig and drew with Atalanta with more nights to remember than ones to forget along the way.

They need to overcome a 2-1 deficit in Munich if they are to go any further and Stelling had been singing their praises for getting this far – even if he admitted it's going to be tough for them to stun Bayern on their patch.

One punter though wasn't having the praise, texting in to talkSPORT to inform Stelling the Hoops had had it 'easy' getting this far. But the broadcaster wasn't entertaining that one as he said: “Oh, that’s right. A really easy group involving Aston Villa, Borussia Dortmund, Red Bull Leipzig, Atalanta, and even Club Brugge. Don’t make me laugh, it wasn’t an easy group and they deserve to be where they are. You might be right when he goes on to say that Bayern will dismantle Celtic tonight, but we shall see.”
