Jeanfield Swifts to welcome St Johnstone development squad for Jamie Reid's testimonial match

Jeanfield Swifts stalwart Jamie Reid will have the spotlight turned in his direction next month.

The loyal full-back is being given a testimonial for his lengthy service at the Perth club.

And to mark the occasion a St Johnstone development squad will pitch up at the Riverside for what is sure to be an entertaining fixture on Sunday, July 23.

With a smile, Holden continued: “But in fairness he has about five luxury holidays a year so he makes up for it.”

Holden, a former striker with the club, has recently taken the reins as Swifts’ new manager.

“We had our first session on Saturday,” he revealed.

“It was a tough session - a double session - but the players worked hard and we welcome a few more back this week.”

Early arrivals have included Pat Brown from Kinnoull and Olly Hamilton from
