January transfer update on two Manchester United players as youngster linked with loan exit

Manchester United are expected to keep their purse strings tight in next month's transfer window but a selection of players could leave Old Trafford, both temporarily and permanently.

Donny van de Beek’s exit to Frankfurt is widely known and could be finalised as soon as the window opens given the pace negotiations have been going at. His new manager has now spoken out about the Dutchman’s imminent arrival following a torrid spell at United.

Meanwhile, academy product Dan Gore is of interest to a Championship club who are spying a loan capture. The midfielder has already made his senior debut for United and could be sent out to gain more first-team experience.

Eintracht Frankfurt's manager has described Van de Beek as an outstanding footballer ahead of his move to Germany.

The Manchester Evening News reported last week that United are closing in on a deal with Frankfurt that would see the midfielder join the Bundesliga side on loan in the January window.

Van de Beek has agreed personal terms with Eintracht, who are now set to finalise a loan fee with United in a deal that will also include the option to make it permanent for £12.5million.

The academy graduate has been named in nine matchday squads this season amid United's injury issues, most recently against Liverpool on Sunday.
