James Milner found no room for Mohamed Salah despite picking four Liverpool icons in his best XI comprised of teammates past and present.
The veteran midfielder, 36, has played alongside some of the greatest players of the Premier League era across his decorated club career.
After emerging from the Leeds United academy in 2002, Milner went on to play for Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Manchester City before joining Liverpool in 2015.
The Englishman also earned 61 caps with the Three Lions between 2009 and 2016, giving him the chance to feature alongside many of those he was rivals with at club level.
Milner named six compatriots in his all-time teammates XI but picked Brazil No. 1 Alisson, his Liverpool colleague, as the goalkeeper in his star-studded line-up.
"Alisson has got it all," Milner told FourFourTwo. "Coming into a new squad and a new country isn't easy, but he made us a better team."
Two more Anfield stars got the nod in defence with Trent Alexander-Arnold chosen at right-back and Virgil van Dijk as one of two centre-backs.
Milner picked former Leeds teammate Jonathan Woodgate to partner Van Dijk and completed his defence by picking Chelsea and England legend Ashley Cole - whom he described as "the fittest footballer around" - at left-back.
