In just a few weeks, the 2022 Formula 1 season will kick off in earnest and20 of the world's fastest cars will take to the Bahrain International Circuit. The new season also heralds a new set of regulations coming into play, all aimed at closing the performance gaps between teams.

During February 2022, all ten F1 teams revealed their cars for the upcoming season, each taking a unique approach to interpreting the technical regulations. As such, the cars are vastly different to last year's season and compared to each taking to the track this year.

Some teams, like Ferrari, took on a very aggressive approach to their car, while others like Haas were seemingly more conservative. Red Bull revealed their car for the 2022 season, but it seemed that it was a blueprint of the concept car for this year's design. But when the first of two pre-season tests got underway, the team showcased a different car markedly different from the one first revealed.

Haas' troubles

The Haas F1 team is in a conundrum even before the season began. With title sponsor Uralkali hailing from Russia, the team decided to remove any of the sponsor's branding from the 2022 car. It comes in light of Russia invading Ukraine and declaring war on the neighbouring country.
