James Milner has outlined his intentions to keep playing football with his Liverpool contract set to expire in the summer.

Milner has been with the Reds since 2015, but his current deal is due to run out at the end of the season.

The 36-year-old has enjoyed a career that has spanned two decades, having made 796 appearances.

Since arriving at Anfield, Milner has featured 272 times for Liverpool and has been the vice-captain since he walked through the door.

But with Milner set to become a free agent, rumours have linked the veteran with a move away from Liverpool.

There has also been talk that Milner could call time on his playing career and move into coaching.

During the international break, Milner jetted off to Dubai for a golf break with Reds team-mates Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Andy Robertson.

Speaking to Gulf News , Milner has outlined his intention to carry on playing past this season.
