Jake Paul vs Hasim Rahman Jr: Date, Undercard, UK Start Time, How to Watch and More
Jake Paul faces his toughest fight yet when he takes on Hasim Rahman Jr in New York this summer.
The YouTube star-turned-prizefighter slash promoter was originally scheduled to face Tommy Fury, but Tyson Fury‘s half-brother was forced to pull out of the bout due to travel issues.
Rahman Jr, a former sparring partner of Paul’s, was immediately called up as a replacement.
‘The Problem Child’ hasn’t been in the ring since his huge KO win over Tyron Woodley back in December and he will be looking to go 6-0 as a professional boxer.
Rahman Jr, however, is certainly no pushover, having plenty of experience from his days as an amateur in the unpaid ranks.
Hasim Rahman Sr was unified heavyweight world champion in the Noughties and now Junior is following in his footsteps.
Paul, 25, said in the build-up: “I’m literally crazy.
“There’s no reason why I should be taking this fight.
“I want to prove to the boxing world that I’m a real dog, which I am.
“And I’m gonna go in there against this 12-1 kid who is bigger than Tommy Fury, faster than Tommy Fury – all of these things.
“And I’m gonna put on the performance of a lifetime and just shut everyone up.
“He’s obviously a lot bigger than me. It’s really interesting to deal with.
“I’m a way better fighter now. I’m sure he’s a better fighter now. We’re going to see who improved more over the last 18 months.”
