Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva: The Spider isn't worried about being the favourite

MMA legend Anderson Silva has explained why he isn’t worried about being the favourite heading into his fight against Jake Paul.

The land of celebrity boxing is certainly a strange one and on October 29, it’s going to get a whole lot stranger when Jake Paul takes on his biggest challenge yet in the form of Anderson Silva.

The former UFC middleweight champion may be 47 years old, but he’s still widely considered to be the most dangerous man to have stood across the ring from ‘The Problem Child’ thus far.

It’s been a long road to arrive at this point for both competitors and while Paul comes into this contest knowing how important it is for his legacy in the sport, ‘The Spider’ will probably just see it as another day at the office.

After all, this is someone who thrives in the pay-per-view spotlight and has been able to do so for the better part of two decades.

Still, you never know how much the pressure can get to someone regardless of whether they are a veteran or a newcomer, which is why fans would’ve been relieved to hear Silva sound so confident in the following interview.

"I don't put in this in my mind. I'm just training hard everyday and push me hard everyday. Because fighters fight. I have the good and the bad experience inside the combat sports. I lose, I win, I broke my leg, I fight with my ribs broken. 

“Nothing surprises me anymore. But I training hard for win. That's good for me because I don't put pressure in my back. I just go to enjoy and try to do something special for my fans and for the new generation and my generation too."
