Jake Paul, Verstappen, Mbappe, Osaka: Highest-paid athletes under 25

The top-earning athletes aged 25 and under have recently been released by Sportico, with the list finding that a dozen athletes made $30 million or more this past year.

However, we’ll be focusing on the top 10 and what they managed to achieve sporting wise, as well as financial gains through salaries and endorsements.

Boston Celtics small forward Jayston Tatum comes in at 10th on the list, having earned $30.3 million this past year.

The 24-year-old has recently helped his team progress to Eastern Conference finals in the 2022 NBA playoffs and co-founded a candy shop Side Step Sweets that launched its first brand of gummies this year.

He also looks set to be another one of those top young NBA stars to get his own signature shoe with Nike’s Jordan brand.

Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell sees himself placed in the ninth spot, with the 25-year-old accumulating $32.5 million in this past year.

Coming in at eighth and seventh is Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker, making $32.8 million and $35.5 million respectively.

Lawrence made the list mainly due to the $24.1 million from his signing bonus after being named the number one overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Booker signed a big shoe-renewal contract with Nike and is most likely due to have his own signature shoe very soon and has two years left on his five-year $167 million deal with the Suns.

At the sixth spot is YouTube and social media star turned boxer Jake Paul.

The 25-year-old boasts two victories over mixed martial artists Tyron Woodley these past 12 months and made big prize money from both bouts.
