Butterbean's huge knockout at WrestleMania XV is a warning to Jake Paul

Like him or loathe him, you have to take your hat off to Jake Paul.

The American has received a lot of hate from all angles since his move from the internet into to professional sport.

He has got everyone talking with the majority of it being negative in his direction, but thus far, he has wins on his record to back it up.

Paul has himself called out a number of people, all of whom are particularly ambitious. The YouTube sensation has offered out stars such as Iron Mike Tyson, Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.

Meanwhile, the likes of Kamaru Usman, Nate Diaz and Antonio Tarver are willing to step into the ring with him. Not only are they seeking a huge payday, but they want to shut Paul up and prove that he isn’t as good as he is says.

Another name in line to do so, a throwback one at that, is Butterbean.

Eric Esch, better known as Butterbean, hails from Atlanta, Georgia. He was certainly a very unique fighter in his prime due to being particularly heavy and not that tall.

That shouldn’t distract from his prowess, though, he earned the nickname “The King of the 4 Rounders” in the late 90s and it isn’t hard to see why.

As well as starring in the more traditional sporting arena, he also featured on a WWE pay-per-view, as can be seen in the video above.

In 1999, at WrestleMania XV, Butterbean went toe-to-toe with Bart Gunn, or Bodacious Bart. The pair had a boxing match at the headline event and it was Butterbean who prevailed via knockout.

Fast forward over two decades and Esch has been out of action for several years now, although he isn’t retired. Butterbean, in a similar vein to Tarver, isn’t best pleased with what Jake Paul has had to say recently and he wants to do something about it.
