Jadon Sancho shows true colours with message to Man United teammate Alejandro Garnacho

Alejandro Garnacho is set to be the main competition for Jadon Sancho at Manchester United, should the England star remain at the club.

However, instead of preparing for a face-off next season, Sancho has shown his support for Garnacho following his latest significant trophy win in his burgeoning career. The 20-year-old winger was part of the Argentina squad that successfully defended their Copa America title, defeating Colombia 1-0 in extra-time in a fiercely fought final.

Garnacho's most recent success follows his considerable contribution to United's 13th FA Cup victory, where he netted the opening goal in a 2-1 triumph against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium. After securing his spot as a first-team player in Erik ten Hag's debut season, he further cemented his role as a crucial part of his plans last term.

Garnacho made 50 appearances across all competitions - a figure only surpassed by Andre Onana's 51 - and started United's last 38 games. Ten Hag's decision to shift him to the right wing, with Marcus Rashford often playing on the left, proved to be an inspired move.
