Jadon Sancho fires clear two-word message after Manchester United transfer

Jadon Sancho has expressed his delight at re-signing for Borussia Dortmund - admitting a return to the Bundesliga club felt like "coming home".

The 23-year-old has not played for Manchester United since August due to a falling out with manager Erik Ten Hag and on Thursday finalised a loan deal to return to the Signal Iduna Park until the end of the season, two-and-a-half years after he left the club in a £73m deal to move to Old Trafford.

The public spat between Sancho and Ten Hag commenced after September's 3-1 defeat at Arsenal, in which the Dutchman cited the forward's poor training standards as the reason why he was omitted from the squad that travelled to the Emirates. Sancho subsequently hit back at such claims with a strong social media post, in which he refused to be a "scapegoat" and insisted there were "other reasons" for his absence.

Now, after completing a temporary move back to Dortmund, the 23-year-old, who starred in 137 appearances with the club during his first spell, has voiced his delight at returning to the North Rhine-Westphalia and admitted he can't wait to play football "with a smile on my face".

“When I came into the dressing room today, it felt like 'coming home'. I know the club inside and out, I've always been very close with the fans here, and I've never lost contact with those in charge," Sancho told Borussia Dortmund's official website.

“I can’t wait to see my teammates again, go out on the pitch, play football with a smile on my face, prepare goals, score goals and help qualify for the Champions League."
