Jacob Greaves makes survival claim ahead of Hull City’s meeting with Luton Town
Hull City defender Jacob Greaves has admitted that he believes that the club still need to pick up a couple of victories between now and the end of the campaign in order to achieve survival in the Championship.
The Tigers have managed to show some signs of promise in recent weeks after initially making an underwhelming start to life under the guidance of their new head coach Shota Arveladze.
As well as securing victories over Peterborough United and Coventry City, Hull managed to seal a point in their clash with Birmingham City earlier this month.
Set to host Luton Town at the MKM Stadium tomorrow, the Tigers know that they will need to be at their very best in this fixture in order to secure a positive result as their opponents are currently fighting for a place in the play-offs.
The Hatters will be brimming with confidence heading into this game after securing an impressive 4-0 victory over Preston North End on Wednesday.
Ahead of this clash, Greaves has delivered an honest verdict on the current situation that Hull find themselves in.
Speaking in the pre-match press conference for this fixture (as cited by Hull’s official Twitter account), the defender said: “We’re going to treat every game like we have all season.
“I think we need a few more wins to guarantee safety.
“Even once it’s guaranteed, you still want to go on and win more games.”
