ITV's Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard halt This Morning to share baby announcement
Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard couldn't resist sharing some heartwarming baby news on air after the show's deputy editor celebrated the arrival of her second child.
The presenting duo took a moment away from the regular programming to share that baby Arthur had been born, extending their congratulations to the new mother, Emma Dagnell.
Viewers were shown some endearing photographs sent into the studio. Ben chimed in with praise for the name, saying: "What a gorgeous name," before he went on to honour Emma: "Arthur was born last Monday, weighing 7lbs and 1 ounce."
The excitement didn't stop there as Ben revealed: "Mum and baby are already doing well and Arthur is already best friends with his little sister Mia," reports the Mirror.
Cat couldn't contain her affection, exclaiming: "I want to give him a munch and a bit of a sniff at the same time," as viewers were treated to an adorable photo of Arthur with his older sister Mia.
The audience was also shown another image of the newborn, snugly wrapped in a grey blanket and donning a knitted blue hat, gazing curiously into the camera.
However, not all parts of the programme were met with such warmth, as some viewers expressed their discontent on social media regarding Cat's on-screen behaviour, following a provocative dance in a swimsuit adorned with Ben's face.
