ITV Love Island's Luca Bish defended by his sister after fans make claims of 'controlling' behaviour with Gemma Owen

Love Island's Luca Bish has been criticised by fans of the ITV2 show who claim he is showing signs of controlling behaviour towards Gemma Owen - and his family have been forced to hit back. Luca's sister Claudia, who is running her 23-year-old brother's social media accounts whilst he is in the villa, released a statement in a bid to set the record straight.

Fishmonger Luca is coupled up with Michael Owen's daughter Gemma, 19, and over the last few weeks his affection towards her has been growing. Despite bombshell Danica Taylor choosing to couple up with him last week, Luca showed no sign of wanting to get to know her with his eyes solely focused on Gemma.

But on Monday night's show, the pair faced some drama as Ekin-Su decided to spread gossip around the villa. Gemma, Indiyah and Ekin-Su were together when Islander Dami attempted to 'read Gemma's mind', and predicted her head could possibly be turned away from Luca.

Although guessing that she was 'happy with Luca right now', Dami said there was a Gemma's head could turn if somebody new "came in that was 100 per cent her and had the chat of Luca," with Gemma responding: "Yeah, that was quite impressive. I don't think you're that far wrong,"

But after Dami insisted the mind-reading chat stayed between the group, Ekin-Su spilled to gossip to Gemma's ex Jacques and Paige. Jacques then told Luca that Gemma said her head 'could be turned', and he soon became visibly upset.

Things then turned worse when Luca asked Gemma what had been said, and instead of explaining, she went off to go confront Ekin-Su. With Luca being the last to know, this left him annoyed that Gemma
