ITV I'm A Celebrity fans 'stop watching' just days before final after Ant and Dec's 'criminal' announcement

There were gasps from viewers of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here as show hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly made an announcement that rocked camp.

Towards the end of the latest instalment of jungle action on Thursday night (December 5), the ITV reality show's hosts were seen entering camp for the first time in days with news of a double exit after the campmates were put through an immunity challenge which stopped the public vote and any eliminations taking place.

It saw the remaining celebrities take part in the Arcade of Agony challenge. It gave one campmates the opportunity to receive immunity from the next two votes, as well as a fast track pass to the Celebrity Cyclone challenge – which usually takes place during the penultimate episode of every I'm A Celeb series.

Coleen Rooney and Danny Jones were winners in the Grim Grabbers challenge, but the WAG had to be tended to by a medic after a cockroach crawled into her ear. Oti Mabuse and Maura Higgins were the pair who came out on top in the Grimball challenge.

The four campmates then went head-to-head in a Battle Blocks contest, with Oti emerging victorious and securing the Ticket to Cyclone. It meant they will not be impacted by the public vote over the next few episodes.

The twist left many fans fuming, with some viewers venting their rage on social media a contestant would be immune from eviction at the late stage in this year’s competition.

And they were even more outraged to discover that professional boxer Barry McGuigan and Love Island star Maura Higgins received the fewest amount of votes and therefore became the latest contestants who voted off
