ITV Coronation Street sparks split fears for popular couple after phone blunder

Coronation Street fans will be fearing for a popular Weatherfield couple next week.

Abi Franklin will accidentally reveal to husband Kevin Webster that she slept with Imran Habeeb after letting slip the one-night stand to Sally Metcalfe.

Later this week, Toyah Battersby confides in Abi that they’re considering adopting Elsie but she’s not sure their relationship is solid enough as Imran cheated on her.

Abi is, of course, left squirming and Toyah later tells Imran that she’s prepared to adopt Elsie under one condition - that they get married.

Then, the start of next week sees Kevin and his son Jack reveal to Abi that they’ve booked a holiday in Bridlington for after the adoption hearing by way of celebration.

But elsewhere, Imran and Toyah are celebrating their engagement in the bistro when their romantic mood is broken by the arrival of Sally, Abi and Sean Tully.

Sally soon finds Abi outside the bistro clearly upset and it is then that Abi admits to Sally that she slept with someone else behind Kevin’s back.

Sally is clearly unhappy with her friend's actions and Abi is left begging Sally not to tell Kevin about her infidelity.

But Sally refuses to make any promises.

With the adoption hearing about to start, Abi calls Sally and leaves a message, begging her not to tell Kevin and to give her one last chance of happiness.

The social worker gives Abi a glowing report, but when the judge rules that they’ll reconvene on March 14, leaving Kevin and Abi disappointed.

Over in the factory, Sally listens to Abi’s message leading to Abi taking a call from Sally.
