ITV Coronation Street fans make grim prediction amid Liam Connor bullying saga

Dramatic scenes on last night's Coronation Street (Tuesday January 23) left viewers concerned for the fate of one character in particular. The long-running ITV soap returned to our screens for its latest instalment on Tuesday evening.

Months of bullying against Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) boiled over into violence during the episode. The teenager has been harassed by Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) for a while now, with his friend Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) also ganging up on him.

The pair had took it so far, they'd stolen his phone off him. Liam had been avoiding school because of it, but was soon found out by mum Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon), who finally realised her son what was happening.

His step-dad Gary Windass (Mikey North) suggested that the only thing bullies responded to was violence. Liam returned to school, and in the corridor her overheard Dylan ask Mason if he planned on returning the phone.

Mason laughed and told Dylan that if Liam turned up for their meeting, 'he’s a dead man.' Liam then stared Mason out and promised he’ll be there.

Dylan warned Liam not to meet Mason, but Liam was adamant that it was time he stood up to him. As Liam approached Mason and his mates, he overheard Dylan referring to him as a loser.

Goaded by Mason, Liam rammed Dylan up against a wall and as their teacher Mrs Crawshaw appears, Dylan fell to the ground. Mason then lied and said that Liam had attacked Dylan for no reason.

Unaware of what was really happening, Mrs Crawshaw called Liam and Dylan to her office, and Liam said that Mason's account was the truth.
