'It was spectacular' - Sir Alex Ferguson's furious reaction to Manchester United players' 13-hour Christmas party bender

Legendary former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was known for his fiery temper.

One such instance happened after a particularly wild Christmas party thrown by his players. The incident happened in 2007, when the United squad reportedly went on a 13-hour spree straight after training.

The night included visits to some of Manchester's best pubs, a casino, a karaoke bar and, according to some tabloid reports, even a strip club. Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand reportedly organised the wild party, collecting £4,000 from each teammate for the kitty.

The night apparently included karaoke singing sessions with Wayne Rooney and Owen Hargreaves singing Mack Rice's 'Mustang Sally' for their teammates. Meanwhile Anderson, Nani and Chris Eagles were said to be in 'top form' during the night out.

Despite the late-night festivities, the players had to report for training the next morning. But when they arrived they were met by an unhappy Sir Alex Ferguson, who wasn't afraid to express his disappointment.

Former United player Gerard Pique recalled the event as quite a party. Speaking to Gary Neville on The Overlap, Pique said: "I always explain the one. The Christmas party, my last year in Manchester. I was 20, the whole day was amazing!"

The retired defender shared a story about Sir Alex Ferguson's angry reaction after a festive team event. Speaking about the party on another occasion, he told Barcelona's in-media: "Two or three days before Christmas, there was a party just for the players in the team. It was all day long. We left training, left our cars there and got a bus.
