It's Tik Tok time for Todd as raging Rangers diehards go on a Hotline bear hunt to stick their claws in deep

They say you should never read too much into pre-season friendlies but try telling that to Rangers fans who are starting to panic with the competitive season just around the corner.

It’s four friendly games without a win now for Philippe Clement and his side and the Scottish Premiership opener and Champions League third round qualifier are looming. The latest bounce fixture resulted in a 2-1 defeat for the Light Blues against English League One side Birmingham City in a tribute match for Trevor Francis at St Andrew’s.

There weren’t many positives on the park and the uncertainty ahead of the new campaign only increased after the match when Clement dropped the bombshell that Todd Cantwell wants to leave Ibrox, with Connor Goldson also on his way out. So if pre-season is an indicator of what lies ahead then Gers fans aren’t exactly looking ahead with any optimism. Jamie Thompson, Yoker, said: “These Rangers players need a kick up the backside. If this is what is to come this season then we are in trouble. Philippe Clement needs to sort it out before the season starts with quality players or Clement’s job will be on the line.”

Robert Livingstone, Palm Beach, added: “Maybe certain players don’t want to play for Philippe Clement. Todd Cantwell looks to be one by demanding a transfer. You really have to move him ASAP. You can’t have unrest running through the playing staff. That goes for others who will not give the manager 100 per cent. We’ve got a must-win league and European games just weeks away.”

Arrin Geddes, Irvine, said: “Another day, another drama. The unfolding Rangers soap opera is getting too far-fetched now. Cast members leaving, cast members wanting to leave and cast members publicly slating other cast members.
