'It's never been more over' - Manchester United fans react to Bruno Fernandes injury 'update'

Manchester United fans are concerned about the fitness of Bruno Fernandes after an image released by his wife showed the Portuguese ace wearing a protective boot.

Fernandes appeared to suffer an injury in the first half of United's victory over Brighton in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday afternoon. While the 28-year-old midfielder remained on the pitch until the 101st minute, he was eventually replaced by Wout Weghorst in extra-time.

On Monday night, Ana Pinho, Fernandes' wife, posted a photo of the player on her Instagram story. The image showed the United ace sitting on a sofa with his right leg placed on top of three cushions. His ankle was strapped up and a protective boot and a pair of crutches were on the floor next to him.

The picture from Fernandes' wife - captioned 'recharging' - would suggest the midfielder is unlikely to feature against Spurs on Thursday night. However, with the former Sporting man having played 49 games in all competitions this season, he will be desperate to try to play some part in the clash.

Fernandes has been in impressive form for United this campaign, registering 10 goals and 13 assists. He has only missed three games all season - two of which came through suspension.
