Isthmian League round-up: Sheppey United win first home match in over a month, Sevenoaks win third game in a week and Punjab United hit back to claim a point at Margate

Sheppey United ensured they cashed in after playing their first home game for more than a month on Saturday.

The Ties won 2-1 in Isthmian South East against Peacehaven & Telscombe in their first outing at Holm Park in any competition since August 25.

Forward Mikey Salako scored his second spot-kick in a week to cancel out Connor Tighe’s sixth-minute opener for Peacehaven and then scored the winner just past the hour mark.

Sevenoaks made it three wins in a week after a 2-0 success at Steyning Town courtesy of goals from Nathan Jeche and Freddie Nyhus.

Bottom side Punjab United came from 2-0 down to claim a point at Margate.

Ronald Sithole and Joe Tyrie handed the Gate a two-goal lead inside 35 minutes. But Hudson Scudder pulled one back on the stroke of half-time and Lea Dawson powered in a header with 11 minutes left.

Sittingbourne suffered a third successive league reverse after a surprise 3-1 loss at Horley Town.

Joe Bell gave the hosts an early lead before Adam Allen and Kavalli Heywood’s penalty made it 3-0, with Joe Boachie scoring a late consolation for the visitors.

Chris Dickson scored twice with substitute Bailee Cain adding a third goal as Cray Valley won 3-0 at home to Herne Bay.
