Isthmian League round-up: Dartford score two late goals to beat Horsham, Cray Valley and Dover Athletic drop points; Hythe Town collect first away win this season
Dartford produced a dramatic finale to keep the pressure on leaders Billericay in Isthmian Premier on Saturday.
The Darts scored twice in the last two minutes as Ady Pennock’s men stunned third-placed Horsham 2-1 at Princes Park.
Horsham had the better of the first half and deservedly led through Jake Elliott with Darts striker Callum Jones’ penalty saved by keeper Lewis Carey.
Dartford were indebted to keeper Jacob Marsden for keeping them in the game and they equalised when George Whitefield turned in Sam Odaudu’s left-wing cross.
There was more drama to follow when substitute Samir Carruthers’ free-kick was nodded down and Eddie Dsane scored the winner from close range.
Fourth-placed Cray Valley came from behind to draw 1-1 at home to relegation-threatened Hastings.
Tanner Dogan put the visitors ahead just before the hour mark but Tom Beere slotted in the equaliser with nine minutes left.
Dover stay in the final play-off place following a goalless draw at Canvey Island.
The visitors had keeper Jordan Gillmore red-carded for foul and abusive language in the final minute with Harrison Pont taking over in goal for what time remained.
Soul Kader continued his scoring form for Cray Wanderers but it was not enough as they went down 2-1 at Chichester.
Kader has now netted five goals in four games but his second-half equaliser proved in vain as Jimmy Wild’s 27th goal of the season won it for Chichester before the hour mark.
Folkestone shared the points following a 1-1 draw at home to Potters Bar.
Jack Jebb gave Invicta the lead but the advantage lasted just three minutes as Joe Payne equalised.
Freddie Sears scored twice as Chatham ran out 4-1 winners at home to Cheshunt.
Kasim Aidoo and Jamie Yila also scored for Chats, who
