Irish abroad: Troy Parrott and Sinclair Armstrong among top performers

Irish players put in strong performances in the Dutch Eredivisie, the Championship, League One and the Northern Ireland Premiership this week.

Statistics compiled by Sofascore show the top two performers were Ronan Chapman Hale and David Odumosu, who both play for Cliftonville FC.

Hale scored two goals in Cliftonville's win over Ballymena, securing him a rating of 9.1. Meanwhile, Odumosu, who is on loan from St Patrick's Athletic, had a rating of 8.0.

Republic of Ireland international Troy Parrott has rediscovered his best form on loan at Excelsior Rotterdam from Tottenham.

The striker got the second goal in Excelsior's 3-0 victory over Heerenveen in the Eredivisie.

Ireland internationals Will Smallbone (7.6) and Gavin Bazunu (7.5) put in good performances for Southampton in their 3-1 victory over Swansea City in the Championship.

Midfielder Smallbone scored the second goal for the Saints.

CJ Hamilton, who has one Ireland cap from a 2022 clash with Ukraine, scored in a 2-1 League One victory over Bristol Rovers. The winger put Blackpool ahead five minutes in, and earned a rating of 7.5.

Sinclair Armstrong is rated as one of the most promising young prospects in Irish football.
