Championship wrap: Szmodics on the scoresheet again

The Championship's leading scorer Sammie Szmodics was again among the goals as John Eustace's first game in charge of Blackburn Rovers ended with a 3-1 win over Stoke City.

Szmodics - who was called up to Republic of Ireland squads during Stephen Kenny's tenure but has yet to be capped – plundered his 22nd goal of the campaign with a brace from Tyrhys Dolan.

Irish midfielder Jason Knight was on the scoresheet for Bristol City in a 2-1 win over Middlesbrough.

United remain unbeaten at home this campaign and made light work of seeing off the Millers 3-0. Patrick Bamford got their first and then Crysencio Summerville extended his tally for the season to 15 with a brace, with one from the spot.

For their part runaway leaders Leicester won again, this time 2-1 at Watford. Patson Daka put them ahead from the spot 11 minutes in and Ricardo Pereira added a second after the break, with Emmanuel Dennis pulling one back to no avail.

In the early kick-off, Ipswich's recent slide off the pace in the automatic hunt continued as they drew 2-2 at home to West Brom.

They got a draw thanks to Omari Hutchinson's stoppage-time goal, having twice trailed to goals from Tom Fellows and John Swift. Nathan Broadhead cancelled out
