Ian Evatt makes Bolton Wanderers starting admission about ex-Rotherham United man Kieran Sadlier

Ian Evatt admits January window signing Kieran Sadlier comes into his mind 'every game' to start for Bolton Wanderers.

The acquisition from Rotherham United has started just once so far since arriving at the University of Bolton Stadium, in the loss against Burton Albion in which he impressed.

Aside from that, he has mostly had to make do with appearances off the bench but has looked bright when doing so and bagged his first goal for Wanderers in the win over Lincoln City.

Wanderers boss Evatt admits the attacker does come into the reckoning to start in a competitive final third of the pitch.

But the Wanderers boss is pleased to with the togetherness of his squad right now, as was highlighted in the win over Gillingham as Evatt once again displayed his pleasure at the performance on the road at Priestfield.

Evatt told the Manchester Evening News: "Every game he (Sadlier) comes into my mind about starting. We’ve got some seriously good options when Kyle and Kacha return, and you’ve got the Bakayoko and Bodvarsson scenario and Dion (Charles), Gethin (Jones) coming back obviously.

"I’m pleased with where that squad is at but the most important thing is that people who are playing respect the shirt and make sure they perform well. If they don’t, then there are people ready to take their place.

"But also if it’s not your turn in the team, make sure you are ready first and foremost, but make sure you support your teammates.

"I think that’s what I’m seeing more than anything else. The togetherness, again highlighted on Saturday, is fantastic. We are a real family club. This is a really good atmosphere, a good feeling amongst
