Ian Evatt issues Bolton demand for Wycombe Wanderers test & offers Gareth Ainsworth verdict

Ian Evatt says his Bolton Wanderers players must stand up to the challenges Wycombe present his side this weekend as he heaped praise on Chairboys boss Gareth Ainsworth's achievements in his time at the club.

Wanderers got their campaign up and running last week with a draw at Portman Road against the Tractor Boys. Aaron Morley's penalty was cancelled out by Lee Evans' strike.

The Whites continue a challenging start to the campaign when they host the Chairboys tomorrow for the first game of the League One campaign at the University of Bolton Stadium. Ainsworth's side missed out on promotion to the Championship at the hands of Sunderland in the play-off final last season.

In his time with the Buckinghamshire side, Ainsworth has taken the Chairboys from League Two to the Championship. He has been in charge at Adams Park for almost a decade.

A physical challenge is expected when Wycombe visit the University of Bolton Stadium and Evatt says he team knows full well what they will be facing this weekend. His side will face a good team which is hard to beat and know how to cause sides problems.

Evatt believes that is down to Ainsworth and his staff and being able to maintain high standards despite a turnover of players. Though Wanderers know what to expect, he believes dealing with it is a different matter and something the Whites must do.
