Cole Stockton missed Morecambe's loss to Bolton Wanderers owing to an illness which kept him out of the weekend draw to Fleetwood Town as Derek Adams felt his side could have had one or maybe even three points against the Whites.

The Whites took the lead in the first half through Liverpool loanee Conor Bradley, who caused the Shrimps problems all evening, found the back of the net on the turn with his second goal for his loan club. He finshed off a flowing attacking move as the Shrimps struggled to create many chances which troubled James Trafford.

Aside from a Ryan Delaney header which went wide in the second half, the Shrimps did not create too much, though put more pressure on Wanderers in the closing stages. Wanderers managed to secure a 1-0 win which lifted them to fourth in the League One table.

Shrimps star striker Stockton was absent from the matchday squad against the Whites. Adams confirmed the striker remains ill and the club's physiotherapist is keeping him informed of the striker's condition.

Overall, Adams was pleased with what he saw from his side and felt they were the ones in the ascendancy in the latter stages. He feels they were unfortunate not to pick up one point or possibly even all three in the encounter.

He told the club's YouTube channel: "I was really pleased with everyone in the team tonight. I thought the backline kept Bolton very quiet. They didn't concede too many opportunities to them throughout the 90 minutes and that was really pleasing.
