“I would probably say Nottingham Forest” – Huddersfield Town fan pundit makes admission ahead of play-off battle

Huddersfield Town picked up a crucial three points as they beat Hull City on Friday night as they chase a top six finish.

Whilst the Terriers are currently third in the table, they have played more games than the majority of their rivals for a play-off place, so they still have a massive fight to ensure they stay in the top six.

Although, the victory at Hull, which came after back-to-back defeats, renewed the optimism among the support that Carlos Corberan’s men can do it.

But, as mentioned, there is fierce competition and Huddersfield fan pundit Graeme Rayner admitted to FLW that Nottingham Forest are someone he views as a real threat out of everyone in the mix.

“It’s a tricky question this because in theory we shouldn’t fear anyone. But I would say on current form, as much as I loathe to say it as their fans are getting a bit uppity, I would probably say Nottingham Forest.

“However, they did us at our place and we did them at their place in the league and I don’t think the cup really counts because they put out a strong side and we put out a heavily changed side.

“So, probably Forest, but over two legs, assuming we retain our play-off place, I would say I fancy us to give anyone a real challenge, so bring anyone on, but Forest are the ones I’d be worried about.”

Steve Cooper’s side are currently seventh in the table, five points behind Huddersfield with three games in hand.
