Lee Nicholls hails Huddersfield Town's dressing room morale ahead of crucial promotion run-in

Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Lee Nicholls has praised individual members of the side's squad for making the place enjoyable to be around. Nicholls, who has started all but two of the Terriers 43 Championship games this season, has kept an impressive 18 clean sheets so far and is regarded as one of Carlos Corberan's stand-out performers.

But with others not enjoying such luck in terms of game time this term, the former Wigan man has applauded the team spirit shown by not just those who take to the field, week in, week out.

"I think there is a lot of people in that dressing room that don't get the credit they deserve,'' began the 29-year-old. "Just using one example is Frazier [Campbell], he is another who always comes in with a smile on his face and always in the dressing room having a laugh picking us up.

"Then he goes out and trains hard, this is someone who has represented the country at the end of the day. I think that shows the spirit that goes on, it's not just those lads that are out on the field, it runs deeper into the lads in the whole squad."

With the Terriers' sights now firmly set on promotion back to the Premier League, Town have three games of the regular season remaining, with local rivals Barnsley the team's next test. A win on Friday night will secure a playoff spot and cut the gap to second-placed Bournemouth to a single point - although the Cherries have three games in hand by that point.

Luton Town and Nottingham Forest lead the chasing pack behind Corberan's side as the season enters the home straight.
