Julian Nagelsmann has already made his feelings clear amid reported interest from Manchester United, should the club decide to make a change in management.

United are operating under the working assumption Erik ten Hag will remain in charge next season although the Manchester Evening News understands new owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is "not completely sold" on the Dutchman. Now, in a report by The Independent, the former Bayern Munich boss is claimed to be 'of increasing interest to the United hierarchy' as Ten Hag's long-term future at Old Trafford remains unclear.

The Dutchman has had an underwhelming season and with INEOS overhauling the football structure at the club, that could include a focus on the manager's position. After guiding United to League Cup success and returning to the Champions League, Ten Hag has been unable to build on such promise this season.

United were knocked out of the European competition in the group stages and are at risk of not qualifying for the competition again next year. Nagelsmann meanwhile, is also reportedly being considered by a number of clubs including his ex-team Bayern, where he was in charge for two years before he was sacked last year.
