I tried the posh village chippy that says "it's the future"... and they might be right

For many (me included) being adventurous on a trip to the chippy involves adding a curry sauce to your fish and chips instead of mushy peas. But there's a new chippy on the scene that is aiming to push the boat out in a bid to tickle your fry-up fancy.

Charlie's Chippy in the posh Cheshire village of Mobberley has been causing a stir since opening last year by adding some upmarket additions to the menu. "We’re finding now that the same people are coming back maybe twice a week, they’ll have fish and chips but another day they’ll have a rice bowl with something else. It’s a busy chippy."

The chippy also does gluten-free meals every day, with a fryer set aside
