'I tried the bottomless £15 restaurant deal taking on Wetherspoons... but had to stop'

When it comes to grabbing a cheap meal on a weekday, for many, Wetherspoons is the go to. The high-street pub chain has proven popular amongst pub-goers for years thanks to its discounted Curry Club, Chicken Club and Steak Club - both of which offer big savings on hearty meals.

But now another popular high-street food chain is taking on Wetherspoons with its own mid-week meal deals. Better still, they're bottomless, so you can eat as much as you want in 90 minutes - meaning there's some serious money to be saved.

Weekday wins is the newest set of deals from TGI Fridays. From Monday to Thursday, diners can snap up a different money-saving offer - all of which can be found on the TGI website here. One deal which is set to be particularly popular is the £15 'endless wing' deal on Wednesday that lets you dig in and see just how many wings you can actually finish in 90 minutes.

But how many wings do you really get in 90 minutes, and is it worth the money? Tai Kolade, a reporter from MyLondon, went to find out and take on the challenge.

Entering with a swagger, my confidence was through the roof at the thought of eating superhuman amounts of wings. Male bravado and toxic masculinity egged me on as I prepared to excel.

The promotion only runs on Wednesdays, and you need to have the TGI Fridays app to participate. They've got other offers for every day of the week: Monday is bottomless sesame chicken and Tuesday is 2-for-1 fajitas, to mention a few.
