I tried the 'no rub' £67 Dr Martens sale sandals to see if they're really comfortable enough to wear all day

Last month I went on a bargain last minute getaway to Turkey with only carry-on luggage booked. I'm usually an over packer but I definitely couldn't afford to pay any baggage fees at the airport so I only had the trainers that I wore to the airport and a pair of sandals in my hand luggage to style with all of my outfits on the four-day trip.

I always wanted a pair of sandals from Dr. Martens but I honestly thought the price point was a bit expensive for a shoe that you can only wear for a few months out of the year, compared to a pair of boots or brogues, which I wear pretty much in every season. But because this trip was a belated birthday gift, I decided to bite the bullet and buy a pair from the luxury brand and I am so glad that I did.

I wore the sandals every day while I was on holiday and they were comfortable from the first wear, without rubbing. Usually with Dr. Martens, you need to wear in the leather for a few days with a pair of fluffy socks to avoid blisters but that wasn't the case at all with the Blaire Quad Hydro Leather Platform Gladiator Sandals, which are currently on sale in white for £79 (or £67.50 if you are a new customer) down from £109 at the Dr. Martens website.
