I'm the Manchester United WhatsApp admin - the quietest player is now hammering us as rubbish

Rio Ferdinand has revealed how is his fellow ex-Manchester United players are taking a "hammering" in a WhatsApp group filled with former Old Trafford stars.

Former centre-back Ferdinand says he is the admin of a group involving ex-players from great United teams of the past. Ferdinand spent over a decade at Old Trafford, winning numerous trophies including six Premier League titles before leaving in 2014.

And one recent addition to the WhatsApp group is currently still playing for the Red Devils. Ferdinand says that Jonny Evans has recently become a member having made 21 appearances for Erik ten Hag's side this season after signing a short-term contract in the summer.

"He's just joined the WhatsApp group, by the way. He's just funny man," Ferdinand said of Evans on his YouTube channel FIVE. When asked why Evans had only just joined, Ferdinand added: "I think he was just consumed by football and he's currently playing so doesn't want distractions."

Ferdinand also revealed that former striker Dimitar Berbatov had joined and was causing a storm when it came to his analysis on some of his former teammates. "He's gone from the quietest man in the changing room to being like Patrice Evra now out there, blowing people up, sending pictures in there, lookalikes," Ferdinand explained.
