'I'm closer to leaving' - Pep Guardiola drops Man City future bombshell after title win
Pep Guardiola has provided a bombshell update on his future following Manchester City's clash against West Ham. The 53-year-old led his side to a 3-1 win over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon to lift a fourth successive Premier League title.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Guardiola was quizzed on his future in light of Jurgen Klopp's departure from Liverpool. The Spaniard said: "The reality is I am closer to leaving than staying. It's eight years, will be nine. Right now, my feeling is I am staying next season.
"We talk with the club, we have time to talk next season because I have to see the players as well. If they follow me, they follow us... for many reasons. I will stay. During the season we will talk."

Speaking to reporters ahead of Manchester City's title showdown against West Ham, Guardiola insisted that he plans to honour his contract, which expires next year. He said: "Yeah, I have a contract. I want to be here next season, yes."
Then, quickly changing his tune, Guardiola added: "Next season? I don’t know about next season. We have to see how we finish. Sometimes the decision depends on how we finish the season.
"The players have done a good season already. Nothing will change that, but we have to wait Now I’m not thinking one second about next season. Because it’s West Ham, four players up front who can create something.
"[Mohammed] Kudus is an exceptional player. [Jarrod] Bowen for many years and [Michail] Antonio, when he’s fit, is unbelievable. [Lucas] Paqueta is a top-class player in that he can do many things.
"That’s why. All four from nothing
