'I fell for the guy who was plastering my house... he turned out to be dangerous'

When Emma Fallows met Jordan Coulson, she was overwhelmed by his affection. The compliments, the pet names, the flowers sent to her home.

It all seemed too good to be true – and sadly it was. Within weeks, hairdresser Emma found herself with Jordan's hands around her neck in a terrifying attack.

The mum-of-three, from Denton, first met Jordan through a friend in June 2022. Knowing he was a plasterer, she asked him to do some work on her house.

Following the work, the pair began talking, with Jordan reportedly moving his things into Emma’s home just two days later. The mum, 39, claims she said he could stay for one night – but he never left.

The relationship moved fast and , at first, appeared to be going well. Jordan, 31, called Emma his queen, showered her with compliments and gave her gifts. In the mum’s own words, she was “sucked into” his charm.

In August of 2022, by which time they had been dating for around a couple of months, Emma claims she started to notice 'red flags'. She claims that on one occasion Jordan made her show him her bed on video chat to prove that there was no-one else there.

“He was telling me how beautiful I was, sending me flowers and calling me his queen,” Emma, who works as a hairdresser, told the Manchester Evening News. “I hadn’t had that for a long time so I was sucked into it.

“But I was already seeing these red flags. I had only been with him for eight weeks.”

Emma says things came to a head on August 19, 2022 when Jordan demanded she pick him up from the pub. On the drive home, the mum says he kept grabbing her face to kiss her and taking her attention away from the road.
