'I don’t want someone who sniffs beak', PC told disgraced officer boyfriend

A couple who both served as police officers rowed over finding 'bags of cocaine' in the home they shared with their baby.

Former constable Jonathan Brown has already resigned from Merseyside Police after he was arrested outside a pub in Greater Manchester in possession of the Class A drug, the Liverpool Echo reports. His then partner, PC Chloe Fitton, is now accused of 'turning a blind eye' to his regular cocaine use and taking the drug herself.

She reportedly once found a bag of the drug 'stuck to her foot' in the living room and said she hoped Brown 'had had enough water to flush out' the drug from his system. A text showed PC Fitton being asked if she had taken 'beak', to which she replied: "I've had a small one and it made me feel sick so I've said no more xxx."

PC Fitton was due to have her case heard in front of an independent misconduct panel yesterday (September 20). But she did not show up at Merseyside Police HQ for the hearing and it proceeded in her absence.

The panel were told how she is accused of turning a blind eye to her partner's drug use, using the drug herself at least two times and 'misleading' social services on what she knew about her partner's cocaine use. George Thomas, representing Merseyside Police, told the independent panel ignoring regular Class A drug use by a colleague presented a 'major problem' for the force.

He said: "Where is he getting the drugs from? Who is he associating with when he gets his hands on them? Where are they getting the drugs from?
