'I could even' - Roma legend Francesco Totti drops Leicester City hint ahead of semi-final clash

Roma legend Francesco Totti has hinted that he could be at the King Power Stadium on Thursday evening to watch his former club take on Leicester City.

Totti has been attending a lot of Roma matches since hanging up his boots in 2017 but insists he only attends as a fan. He did admit that could also be the case in Leicester on Thursday.

The two sides meet in the first leg of their Europa Conference League semi-final clash, with managers Jose Mourinho and Brendan Rodgers reuniting after their days working together at Chelsea.

Former striker Totti spoke to Italian journalists at a football event in the build-up to this week's match. He said: “My regular presence at the Olimpico? These are things you have inside, unique emotions, when you see so many people it's always nice. But I'm going because I'm a fan and nothing else. Maybe I will also go to Leicester."

On Roma's hopes for the competition, he said: “We are close [to the final]. Hopefully, we can achieve this goal". When asked about Jose Mourinho as Roma manager, he responded: "How can you question him?"

Leicester host Roma at the King Power Stadium on Thursday evening, with the game set to kick off at 8pm. Striker Jamie Vardy could make his first start since returning from injury in what is arguably one of the most important games in the club's history.
