'Hungrier than ever' - Piers Morgan slams Manchester United and Erik ten Hag after Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick

Presenter Piers Morgan believes Cristiano Ronaldo is looking fitter and hungrier than ever and repeated his criticism of Erik ten Hag after the Portuguese star's hat-trick for Al Nassr.

In midweek, Ronaldo helped the Saudi Arabian side reach the AFC Champions League group stages for the first time in three years thanks to a play-off victory against Shabab Al Ahli. However, form in the Pro League has not reached the same heights until this weekend.

Al Nassr were languishing in the league having lost both of their opening fixtures. Admittedly, Ronaldo was absent for his side's loss to Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq due to injury.

However, Ronaldo was at his scintillating best yesterday evening as the 38-year-old led his team to their first three points of the campaign. The Portuguese forward even pulled off an outrageous assist for Sadio Mane as Luis Castro's side rediscovered their form.

Ronaldo arrived at Al Nassr in January 2023 after a controversial interview with Morgan led to him leaving Old Trafford the previous November. During this conversation, the striker openly criticised Ten Hag, the Glazers and former teammates Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney in what was seen as a scathing attack on the club.

Since Ronaldo's switch to the Middle East, Morgan has often popped up with criticism towards the Reds' boss, particularly when the ex-United man has performed well. Friday night was no exception as the broadcast journalist took aim at Ten Hag once again.
