Hull FC must wait to learn Challenge Cup quarter-final opponents after victory over Sheffield Eagles

Hull FC will travel to either Barrow Raiders or Huddersfield Giants in the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup after seeing off Sheffield Eagles in the sixth round. Championship outfit Barrow host Huddersfield tomorrow afternoon in Cumbria and FC head coach Brett Hodgson is sure to be watching that game closely.

The Black and Whites sealed their spot in the last eight this afternoon as they scored 11 tries against Mark Aston's second tier side. Connor Wynne scored a hat-trick at Post Office Road, while Jake Connor grabbed a brace.

Tries also came for Andre Savelio, Adam Swift, Josh Griffin, Mitieli Vulikijapani, Carlos Tuimavave and Jordan Lane. FC reached the semi-final stage of the competition last year and they’re desperate to go at least one better this year and reach the final at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The tie will be played over the weekend of April 9 th .
