Hull FC announce the signing of Castleford halfback Jake Trueman
Hull FC have announced the signing of Castleford halfback Jake Trueman, fending off interest from other Super League clubs to secure his services on a three-year deal. The move for the 23-year-old has been the worst kept secret in rugby league, with reports linking Hull to the halfback going as far back as last winter, but officially it's now out in the open.
An exciting acquisition, Trueman has played over 100 games for Castleford having signed from fellow West Yorkshire club Bradford Bulls in 2017, for whom he made one appearance. He is an accomplished runner of the ball, with 28 Super League tries to his name.
Currently side-lined with a season-ending ACL injury suffered against Huddersfield last week, Trueman will start his rehab with Castleford, before continuing it with Hull FC over the winter.

"There were a few clubs that showed interest in me, but after meeting with Brett Hodgson and James Clark, I was really keen to come to Hull because of plans both on and off the field," Trueman said on his move to Hull.
"I like the way Brett said he wants his team to play. I'm excited about playing behind a big pack like Hull's. It's exciting that the news is finally out there. It certainly makes it feel more real.
"I've been watching Hull closely this year, doing my homework ahead of next season. I'm just excited to get started now.”
Trueman was ever-present this season for Castleford having got the better of a serious back injury that has caused him problems for the last 18 months. He has been one of Super League's most creative players this season, with 16 try assists and six tries to his name, taking his try contribution tally to 22. Only Jack
