Jake Connor's Hull FC return provides Brett Hodgson with difficult spine conundrum

Jake Connor is back and that's an enormous boost for Hull FC. Can he salvage their season? It doesn't need salvaging, they're sixth.

But can he help push them up the table and secure a play-off sport? The answer is undoubted; yes. They score more points and win more games when he plays and it's shown in the percentages. The difficulty now is that so many others are out as well and they have more of a job on their hands than just throwing Jake back in there and winning again all of a sudden.

What will be interesting is team selection, will Jake play fullback, will they leave Jack Walker in there and push him into the halves with Luke Gale or could they even play him centre?
