Huge queues as major motorway blocked due to 'police incident'

Drivers are facing long delays on a Rochdale motorway tonight after a 'police incident'.

Queues are forming on the M62 Eastbound between J21 A6193 Sir Isaac Newton Way (Milnrow) to J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor), with congestion currently stretching to J20 (Rochdale).

Traffic is being diverted out of the area, with North West Motorway Police on the scene. The exact nature of the incident is not yet known.
