BREAKING: Huge police and paramedic response after man dies in park
A man has sadly died in a park in north Manchester following a 'concern for welfare' incident.
Police and paramedics responded to the incident in Queens Park, on Rochdale Road, in Harpurhey at around 9pm last night (Thursday). A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to a 'concern for welfare'.
A man - whose age has not yet been confirmed - tragically died on the scene despite the best efforts of paramedics. No further details on his death, or whether it is being treated as suspicious, have been released at this stage.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing at least eight police vehicle stationed outside the park last night. Pictures also showed a stretch of the park taped off as officers responded.
A spokesperson for GMP said: "Police received a call at 9pm last night to a concern for welfare. Colleagues from NWAS also attended, but despite best efforts, the man sadly passed away."
