Huge Leny Yoro and Jadon Sancho calls made as Manchester United squad vs Rangers confirmed

Leny Yoro could make his Manchester United debut against Rangers on Saturday afternoon after being included in the squad that has travelled north to Edinburgh.

United completed the signing of the highly-rated defender on Thursday, drafting him in from French outfit Lille in a deal that could be worth up to £58.9million. He trained with his new teammates for the first time on Friday.

Yoro could be handed his debut less than 48 hours after being unveiled as United's second signing of the summer.

Yoro has been joined in the squad by Jadon Sancho. The winger, who recently cleared the air with manager Erik ten Hag, has not played for United in any capacity since a clash with Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on August 26 last year.

He was frozen out by the United boss last September after publicly accusing the Dutchman of lying in a social media post. He was sent out on loan in January, rejoining Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of the season.

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Andre Onana and winger Amad have been included in the squad after playing no part in Monday's 1-0 defeat to Rosenborg in Norway. However, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Antony are missing once again.

Marcus Rashford has also been left out, despite starting the defeat in Trondheim. United have said he is missing out due to a 'small niggle'.

Meanwhile, Scott McTominay is 'building up his sharpness' after reporting back to Carrington on Wednesday after appearing at the European Championship with Scotland.
