Huge delays of EIGHT MILES on motorway after major crash

Motorists are faced with huge queues this afternoon after a crash on the M60 motorway.

One lane was closed anticlockwise on the flyover at Trafford Park, between junctions 11 and 10, following a collision.

Transport for Greater Manchester says queues are backing up all the way to junction 17, for Prestwich and Whitefield.

A spokesperson for TfGM wrote on Twitter: "One of three lanes closed on M60 J11 to J10, on the flyover, Trafford Park due to an RTC.

"Long delays with traffic backed up to J17.

"Please allow more time if headed this way."

The lane has since been reopened, but delays remain in the area.

Further details about the crash are yet to be confirmed.

Greater Manchester Police and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have both been approached for comment.
