Huddersfield Town summer departures include three transferred again and four play-off contenders

Never really got going at Rangers, where he made just one start amid niggling injuries before falling out of their first-team plans altogether after Giovanni van Bronckhurst replaced Steven Gerrard as manager. Has had a much happier time of it since moving to Birmingham City in January, starting 10 of their 11 games and registering a goal and an assist.

Made a good impression early on at Sheffield Wednesday following his release, largely playing on the wing despite having mostly been used as a left-back at Huddersfield Town. Started seven games in League One by the end of October but none since then: he’s largely been sitting on Darren Moore’s bench, and not even that over the past few weeks.

The right-back joined Stoke City after Town released him from his contract but will have known he faced a tough task to get in ahead of another former Terrier, Tommy Smith. Centre-back Ben Wilmot has generally been preferred over Duhaney since Smith picked up an ankle injury earlier this month, limiting Duhaney to just three league appearances.

Ah come on, you know this one. Spent the first half of the season playing for Genk but a change of manager spelt time up for the midfielder, who was shunted out to the left wing and left-back. Made his return to the John Smith’s Stadium on January’s transfer deadline day but yet to make a league start – though he did make Carlos Corberan’s XI in the FA Cup games against Barnsley and Nottingham Forest, and has appeared four times from the bench.

Actually played his last game for Town in November 2019 as he suffered a serious knee injury at Preston that kept him out for a year, followed by a separate injury to the other knee that meant he didn’t play a single game for Carlos Corberan.
